Proclamation by Roma Ministry Pastors We as Roma pastors or as pastors with a ministry to Roma people declare as we boldly stand in the presence of our Lord: We praise the Lord and we thank Him for our redemption through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ shed on the cross. We thank our Lord for the commission He has given us as the risen Christ to take care of His flock with a special calling towards the Roma people. We proclaim that we will be diligent in our ministry serving the Lord and our churches with love in the Holy Spirit and in the truth of the Word of God. We recognise that there is a spiritual awakening amongst the Roma people. We pledge to seek the Lord in prayer and intercession to by His Holy Spirit make this revival like a mighty wind blowing across the whole Roma world. We identify with Isaiah 61:7. Even though this promise has been given to the Jewish people we claim it also for the Roma people as we believe that instead of shame the Lord wants to give us a double portion. We recognize the fact that there are many parallels between the Jewish people and the Roma and that our people also suffered much persecution over the ages and thousands of us perished in the Holocaust alongside the Jews. We therefore pledge to stand with Israel and the Jewish people as we believe the prophetic word that God is restoring Israel, and we obey the Biblical commandment to bless the seed of Abraham and we accept that the time to favour Zion has come. We also will take a stand against any expression of anti-Semitism. We finally pledge to not allow smaller differences to divide us but that we will work towards unity amongst the Roma pastors. We will do this by looking at the bigger picture of God's purposes and emphasize the important issues of faith and conduct that we agree upon. Come oh Holy Spirit and prepare the Roma people for the soon return of our Lord, Jesus Christ. |
